Founder and Chairman Peter Goedvolk of the First Dutch family of companies has been honored as Knight in the Order of Oranje Nassau by King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands for his ongoing commitment to developments in the maritime sector and the port of Rotterdam, as well as his social support for numerous projects.

He received the insignia from the mayor of Rotterdam and took the opportunity to deliver a passionate plea for innovation and entrepreneurship, urging that Dutch companies remain in the hands of Dutch investors.
