In 1984, I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey. By 2014, we had transformed Argos into a leading energy supplier in Northwest Europe, laying the foundation for a company dedicated to sustainable energy and raw materials. Since then, we have continued this mission under the First Dutch banner, building a solid platform from our home base in Rotterdam to take a leading role in the emerging energy landscape. First Dutch is a distinguished Dutch company with a global presence—a fully integrated player focused on delivering seamless solutions and support to our customers and partners. Our operations are centered on three core sectors: Maritime, Industries, and Commodities.

Today, First Dutch stands as a vital force that combines vision and entrepreneurship with disciplined execution. We embrace the agenda championed by former EU Commissioner Draghi, recognizing Europe as a hub of growth opportunities in climate action and energy autonomy. Anchored in the Dutch Delta, we thrive within a robust ecosystem of businesses, research institutions, universities of applied sciences, and top-tier universities in Rotterdam (economics and business) and Delft (technology). There is no better environment for start-ups and scale-ups to build the next generation of companies in our core domains.
